Chugga Chugga Big Red Car!

Woohoo! The Big Red Car won today! Kasey Kahne (ooh, isn't he just the cutest kid you've ever seen!) won at Texas Motor Speedway in fine fashion! He drives a red Dodge Charger if you are unfamiliar with NASCAR!

I have to say, it was very strange to be home this weekend and not up at the track. This is the first time in 3 years that we have not gone up for at least the Saturday Busch race. The weekend started off with a BANG! with Kasey winning the pole for Sunday's race. Then, my man Smoke (Tony Stewart) came through a WILD IROC race to win. So here we are on Friday night, watching the race, when Smoke wins. I turn to Danny and say (OK, whine...) "It figures. We don't go up for the race and Smoke wins. And climbs the fence RIGHT WHERE WE WOULD BE SITTING!" OK...I was just a little bummed!

Then, to add insult to injury, Mario Batalli was on Trackside after the IROC race. Mario is one of the Iron Chef's on Food Network. And he happens to be Adam's favorite chef! Go figure!

But, in the long run, it was OK. Because the most despised driver in the world won the Busch race on Saturday. I just don't know how depressing it would have been if I had been there to see Kurt Busch (ugh!) win! Plus, he did that stupid snow angel again. What's with that?!? It was only mildly amusing a couple weeks ago in Bristol since it had been snowing all weekend. But...it was 75 degrees and gorgeous in Ft. Worth all weekend.

So you might wonder why we didn't go. Well, Danny is leaving for a Cartridge Show in St. Louis tomorrow. (Cartridges are bullets...that's another story). I think I might have talked him into going for the IROC and Busch races if we hadn't had all the car problems last week. I'm really OK with it. We're going to go up in November for the whole weekend. We're going to rent an RV and camp at the track. We did that last November and had a total Blast!

See...it was worth reading about NASCAR because I did bring it around to scrapping {wink, wink}. So, congrats to all the winners this weekend!
